I’m having a very hot and heavy affair with the Mermaid Inn this summer. It’s intense. I can’t quit it. I was there last night for oysters and a full sit down dinner in the East Village, but missed happy hour. Rectified that today with another visit this time for happy hour. Sat at the bar at the Greenwich Village location. It was heaven. The shrimp corndog and the lobster rolls on brioche…I can’t tell you how good they were. What you don’t see here are the dozen and a half oysters (East and West coast), the lollipop buffalo wings, and the other cocktails including a delicious dark and stormy, a mermaid pilsner and Ketel One martini.
We have to go there together when you come to NY, mister.
